The Royal Museum is attached to the Museum of Scotland and the Royal serves as a more traditional museum of items from around the World. The Royal is a beautiful Victorian building with 3 levels of exhibits that feature the more conventional museum subjects along with a frequently changing theme of exhibitions that often have a Scottish angle.
Between the Royal Museum and the Museum of Scotland there is the excellent “Connect” exhibition of interactive science displays that children will love. “Connect” features a full size Formula 1 race car simulator, a NASA space capsule, an old steam train, robots and lots more.
