We always try to warn people not to underestimate how long it takes to drive around Scotland. Trying to do too much in too few days often means that you don't get a good experience of what Scotland has to offer. However, people kept asking for this tour so we thought we should at least try to help the guys that want to do Edinburgh, Stirling, Loch Ness, Skye, Loch Lomond & Glasgow in just 3 days. It's a lot of driving so don't say we didn't warn you first!

Arrive in Edinburgh – We provide directions for a choice of walking routes for discovering the Capital City. The guide also includes some options for day trips around the surrounding area by car or bus / train.
Day 1 – The tour heads from Edinburgh and passes through Stirling, with opportunities to visit the Castle & Wallace Monument, before travelling on towards Pitlochry, where you might grab a quick visit to a distillery and another great castle. From Pitlochry, the route heads through the Rothiemurchus forest and Speyside to the historical and hauntingly sad battlefield of Culloden Moor. The day ends in Inverness, but we also provide directions for a short drive around the Black Isle, where you can find Dolphin spotting cruises.
Stopover in Inverness Area.
Day 2 – Starting with a drive along the shores of Loch Ness, you then turn westwards to the wilderness of Wester Ross and the mountains of Kintail. The route passes the distinctive Eilean Donan castle and then we guide you to the Skye Bridge, but you may wish to fit in a detour to see a very pretty fishing village before crossing into Skye. We provide directions for a tour of Skye, but warn you not to try to drive around the whole island as you really need a full day for this.
Stopover in Lochalsh Area or on Skye.
Day 3 – Today’s route takes you through Glen Shiel, where you have a good chance of seeing wild deer, and then rejoins the Great Glen to take you towards Ben Nevis and Fort William. After a short drive along a sea loch, we guide you inland through the dramatic Glen Coe and across the wild empty expanses of Rannoch Moor. We provide directions for returning to either Edinburgh or Glasgow.
