TESTIMONIALS

"Over 100 pages with hundreds of links. It's an entire guide book! I truly am without words. I was expecting maybe 5-6 pages for each week. I have to say that I feel very, very guilty at the small amount we paid for the wealth of information you provided."

"I am delighted with my purchase of your Scenic Scotland 7 days tour, wish that I had found your website sooner. I would have saved many hours of uneducated web surfing and comparisons."

This tour is paced so that you can unwind, relax and take in the romantic atmosphere of the Scottish Highlands. The route takes you from Edinburgh to rural Perthshire and then westwards to the coastline of Argyll. The guide gives you lots of ideas for romantic places to visit, but you have 2 nights in each location so you may just want to take it easy.

Your Guide will be instantly available to you by email after credit card payment.

Day 1 – Starts with a visit of Edinburgh to take in some of the city’s magical atmosphere by following our guide to the city’s many historical, supernatural, cultural, culinary and convivial charms.  We provide directions for a choice of 3 walking routes around the city.

• Details of various day trips from Edinburgh by bus or train.

Along the route you may explore the country retreat of Mary Queen of Scots’, the ancient crowning place of Scotland’s Kings and the romantic riverside setting of a ruined cathedral in an 18th century village. The journey ends in the Pitlochry area, where we have provided directions for a short drive to a spectacular castle and a choice of woodland walks by tumbling waterfalls.

Day 4 – A choice of day trip options from Pitlochry. We provide directions for:

• A scenic drive around Loch Tummel and Loch Tay with opportunities for some energetic walks.
• An excursion over a mountain pass to visit Royal Deeside with its many handsome castles, Balmoral and links to Queen Victoria.
• A longer drive north to the Cairngorms to visit some of the locations used in the filming of "Monarch of the Glen". This day trip can include a short steam train ride or an ascent of the Cairngorm mountain range.
