Edradour Distillery is Scotland’s smallest distillery. This is a very quaint distillery run by a small team who make the whisky in a manner that is almost on a home brew scale of operation. The distillery is based in a collection of neatly presented and very photogenic farm buildings.

From the centre of Pitlochry, follow the A924 signposted to Braemar and the Edradour Distillery. The road climbs up past the Moulin Hotel, a hotel with its own micro brewery and also worth a visit. About 1 mile after the hotel, the A924 takes a sharp left hand bend where you turn right to take a side road to Edradour. The distillery is clearly signposted with “brown signs” all the way from Pitlochry, and there is plenty of parking across the road from the distillery entrance.

Edradour has a small distillery shop which is linked to the distillery by a small wooden bridge over the river that the distillery uses for its water supply.

A very pretty distillery, but it does get a bit crowded with Coach Tour parties in summer.
