TESTIMONIALS

"Over 100 pages with hundreds of links. It's an entire guide book! I truly am without words. I was expecting maybe 5-6 pages for each week. I have to say that I feel very, very guilty at the small amount we paid for the wealth of information you provided."

Deborah, St Louis, Missouri. Read Deborah's Blog

"Would recommend this website to anyone who is travelling to Scotland"

Vyvette Crompton on www.ExtraMileScotland.co.uk

"I am delighted with my purchase of your Scenic Scotland 7 days tour, wish that I had found your website sooner. I would have saved many hours of uneducated web surfing and comparisons."

Dr. Jacinta Meharchand, Toronto, Canada.

"The Tours look great...Your site was the best all round site I found during my search."

Marisa Herring, New Braunfels, Texas, USA

Archaeolink is all about making history fun, in an educational and interactive way. Visitors start in a modern centre that is discretely built into the landscape. Within the visitor centre there is an introductory film (~ 20 mins) and a very dimly lit corridor that introduces visitors to ancient Myths & Legends.

Visitors then step outside and follow a path that winds through the park and examples of dwellings that cover 10,000 years of time, from the Mesolithic to the Iron Age. These dwelllings range from simple animal skin huts to a large Iron Age farm stead.

Actors show how people lived in the different eras, but it is worth checking in advance to find out what is scheduled for the day. When we visited in May there were only a few demonstrations taking place, but we understand that it is often busier with interactive demonstrations of Bronze Casting, Pottery and Roman Military camps.

Archaeolink will entertain young children, but is less likely to appeal to adolescents.

Guided Tours take place at 1pm and last 45 minutes.
