Talisker Distillery is well known as one of the Classic Malts. The road to Talisker is clearly signposted from the main A87 and A863 roads on Skye. To get to the distillery you drive all the way through the village of Carbost and the distillery is on your left.
The entrance fee is redeemable in the distillery shop.
After visiting Talisker distillery you may want to stop at the Old Inn in Carbost to try some other malts and hear some live music on Friday nights. The Old Inn is also a reasonable place to stop for food and there is usually something of interest on their menu of “Today’s Specials”.
From near to Carbost you can take a single track road to Glen Brittle, where you get some of the best views of The Cuillin mountains.
